Yudy K. Persaud MD/MPH

 

Dr. Persaud is currently working at the Allergy and Asthma Center at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital which is located in what is considered by many as the asthma capital of the U.S.. Dr. Persaud is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, and is an adult and pediatric allergy and asthma specialist. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein School of Medicine and practices at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

 

Yudy K. Persaud M.D./MPH, received his bachelor's degree in biomedicine from the prestigious 7 yr combined medical program at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, graduating magna cum laude.

 

He then graduated from medical school at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. During this time he received the prestigious Macy’s Scholarship to complete a Masters in Public Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.


Dr. Persaud completed his pediatric residency at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, and then went on to complete his allergy and immunology fellowship at Long Island College Hospital. During this time he was Chief Resident and was able to publish numerous articles on allergy and asthma care. He is double-board-certified in pediatrics and allergy/immunology.

 

He has been cited in nationwide journals and has participated in research and drug trials. He also teaches medical students and residents about current allergy care and treatment.


Dr. Persaud has been quoted in various media sources including NY1, NBC news, and numerous publications. He also frequently lectures physicians in training on various topics such as allergy, asthma, atopic dermatitis (eczema), urticaria, immunotherapy, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and food allergies.
